About the ISM1400-C10
Manufactured by Cognex in 2010 the ISM1400-C10 model is one of the few color models available, this model also has an embedded PatMax tool which enhances the model and makes it a bit more advanced than some of the other ISM1400-C units. This model is considered a standard resolution due to its limited pixel count, the pixel count on this unit sits in the range of six hundred and forty by four hundred and eighty pixels. As a color tool, two specific software tools within the model can inspect parts and determine what they are. The MatchColor software tool is used to discern the different parts based simply on the color of the part; the ExactColor software tool will simply examine the color features of the part.
One fantastic feature of this unit is that it was designed compact and can be used in a stand-alone function. The compact nature of this unit allows for the model to be used in factory settings where space is extremely limited and a smaller-sized vision system would be highly recommended. The ISM1400-C10 model has the capability to build an entire factory-wide network of vision systems or be used for single-point inspection.
The lens used in conjunction with the ISM1400-C10 model is not initially installed and must be installed by the user. To install the lens remove the protective film covering the threaded lens opening and then proceed to attach your choice of the C-Mount or CS-Mount to the vision system. The lens focal length that is required will primarily depend on the working distance as well as the field of view required to operate the machine vision application.
