About the ISM1400-C11
The ISM1400-C11 model was designed by Cognex as a compact and stand-alone unit to work in applications in which a vision system is needed to identify barcodes, items by shape and color, or alphanumeric characters. This unit also has the capability to identify parts on some of the fastest production lines. As denoted by the C in this models part number this unit has a color software tool, the specific tool is known as ExtractColor which can inspect a menagerie of color features on a part, within the color software tool there is also a tool labeled a vigorous MatchColor tool that will acknowledge the part based simply on its color.
Several different cables can be used with the ISM1400-C11 model, one of which is the Ethernet cable; there are two ends of the cable each has eight pins and are referred to as P1 and P2, the pins within the cable have different signal names, and wire colors associated with them. For example pin eight on the P1 end and pin six on the P2 end are used for the TPI-/+48VDC RTN (Mode A) signal with the associated wire color being green. The remaining pin signals and associated colors are found on page twenty-five of the In-Sight Micro Series Vision System Installation Manual which can be found above in the manuals tab.
If the ISM1400-C11 model requires a cleaning a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner should be applied to a cleaning cloth and then wiped down. Spraying or pouring the cleaner directly onto the model can cause damage to the system's housing.
