The P11-PC104 is an installation kit for use in the case of a single PC/104 card. If there are two PC/104 cards then the P12-PC104 installation kit is appropriate and if there are three PC/104 cards then the P13-PC104 kit is used. Each of these three kits are categorized as P1 hardware accessories that can be either user or factory installed.
The PC/104s are designed for small, rugged environments where stacking together boards to minimize utilized space is ideal. The original PC/104 is about 90 by 96 mms. Each PC/104 has four mounting holes near the corners of the module and are able to be mounted on to of each other using standoffs. This is also beneficial because it minimizes the potential of any flexion of the board under operating circumstances.
