Frequently Asked Questions about PP1-5160
Is a PP1-5160 CTC Parker model a power station and if so what configuration is it?
The CTC Parker Automation PP1-5160 is a model number that refers to an upgrade option and is not a stand-alone power station. It is actually an upgrade option for existing P1H power stations in order to add options to the existing P1H model in regard to upgrading the Runtime software to P1. The important aspect to consider about this upgrade option is that an additional MachineShop feature must also be obtained in order to allow the power station to have AMM and GMM functionality. This MachineShop can be MSP-1N00-P or equivalent.
The basic MachineShop HMI package (such as the MSP-1NH0-P) contains only one system of software development for Interact Networking and Interact Panel Toolkit features. This basic package can also be upgraded to the MOD-5060-H standard MachineShop HMI. This includes development software for networking modules and for PTM (Interact Panel Toolkit). Again as said above the P1H must have a purchased upgrade option for use of alarm management and graphic monitoring modules (GMM, AMM). The purchased upgrade option is known as the PP1-5160 module, which is described as the P1H upgrade to P1 option for Runtime software.
