About the PA206Q-135
The PA206Q-135 is a Parker HMI from their PA2 PowerStation series. This series is designed to be a direct replacement for the company’s earlier PA series of industrial HMI units and use the same cutout dimensions. This unit can connect and control multiple devices at one time, using the several ports located on the unit (Serial and Ethernet.) The unit is also designed with a CompactFlash card that is used as a removable hard drive. This offers non-volatile memory storage. However, the CF card should not be removed while the PowerStation is in operation.
The PA206Q-135 is a 320 x 240 QVGA color display. It includes an analog resistive touchscreen interface to allow for input of information at the HMI display. The unit includes interact runtime software like PTM, GMM, NET, and AMM. The unit measures 6 inches (5.7-inches diagonal) and has a weight of 2.56 pounds. It has external dimensions of 6 x 7.4 x 2.99.
Since the PA206Q-135 is typically used within an enclosure, it is important it is properly mounted to allow for airflow. Also, the PA206Q-135 dissipates approximately 5.8 watts. This allows heat to build up rapidly in enclosed environments if improperly cooled. An increased temperature within the enclosure may exceed external temperature by 15 degrees C or more. Please take that into account when installing your unit and be sure to choose an appropriate enclosure and cooling methods to maintain equipment within the 0-50 degree C operating range.
