About the PA215T-135
The PA215T-135 is a Color touchscreen HMI unit from Parker-Hannifin’s PA2 PowerStation line. This series was created by the OEM as a replacement for their earlier PA units. It can also function as a replacement for many other HMI units from manufacturers beyond Parker. It has a slim profile with clip mounting that allows for easy drop-in replacement.
The PA215T-135 is one of the largest units available in the PA2 series, with a 15-inch display. Unlike most PA2 PowerStations that have native VGA resolution, the PA215T-135 instead has native XGA (1024x768). However, it can be made to run in VGA mode. The unit’s analog touchscreen has a brightness level of 250 NIT, with the internal bulb having a life-use set at 40,000 hours. The unit has external dimensions (in inches) of 13.3 x 16.8 x 5.19. Before boxing for shipment, the PA215T-135 weighs approximately 13.8 pounds.
Like other units within the PA2 series, the PA215T-135 offers standard software for graphics, networking, and alarming. It also has additional optional software modules to allow for historical trending or for recipe management. Connectivity can be achieved through multiple ports, including two serial ports (RS-232 and a configurable RS-232, RS422/RS485 port), an Ethernet port, two USB ports that are typically used to add a keyboard and mouse, and a removable CompactFlash drive. This drive is used as non-volatile memory storage that can withstand rugged environments where vibration or shaking may occur. It is advisable to have a backup CF drive available. The drive is removable, but only when the unit is not active.
