This unit belongs as a part of the Eurotherm 590 Link Series, as one of the many DC (direct current) motor controller drives. These DC motor controllers are configured to operate over the Eurotherm fiber-optic cable network system. These DC motor controllers are made up of three different parts: a 590 model Link Drive, a DC contactor module, and an AC supply fusing unit.
The majority of the features that this unit (listed as the 590C/0350/6/3) and the other models of the Eurotherm 590C lineup share include a 16-bit microprocessor, with four different types of speed feedback DC contactor configurations. These units are also able to communicate via fiber optic connections.
The 590C/0350/6/3 module is equipped with a 35 ampere set of four Quadrant DC thyristor drives, which supply 380 volts for the main power source, and 220 volts with the control circuit. Also integrated into the model are a series of hardware such as the keypad, and the analog tachogenerator feedback board.
Digitally, the 590C/0350/6/3 is simple and user-friendly to initially set up in its fully isolated Four Quadrant configuration.
The hardware that are integrated into the 590C/0350/6/3’s IP 30 rated frame is a set of terminal ports. There are a set of 5 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs. 4 of the inputs are configurable, and the 2 outputs are as well. There is also a set of 5 digital inputs, 3 of which are configurable, and then the 3 digital outputs are all configurable.
There is also an internal AVF feedback unit and a tacho input.
