About the 193X238AAG01
The 193X238AAG01 is a Potentiometer or Variable Resistor circuit board manufactured by General Electric. A Potentiometer is an instrument used for measuring an electromotive force by balancing it against the potential difference produced by passing a known current through a known variable resistance. Potentiometers are commonly used to control electrical devices such as volume controls on audio equipment. Potentiometers operated by a mechanism can be used as position transducers, for example, in a joystick. Potentiometers are rarely used to directly control significant power (more than a watt) since the power dissipated in the potentiometer would be comparable to the power in the controlled load. The 193X238AAG01 has ten large silver circular Potentiometers also known as Variable Resistors. Each Potentiometer or Variable Resistor has a Philips head screw in the center of each one. The Philips head screw is used to adjust the Potentiometer or Variable Resistor up or down. Each Potentiometer or Variable Resistor is independently adjustable. The Potentiometer or Variable Resistor has a small rectangular opening under the Philips head screw. There are thirty metal eye rings on the 193X238AAG01. The 193X238AAG01 has four pre-drilled holes that are used to secure the circuit board into place. The part number (193X238AAG01) is printed on the edge of the circuit board. Each component on the circuit board is labeled with a numeric value, with a small outline around each piece.
