About the 193X256ABG01
The General Electric 193X256ABG01 board was developed as an amplifier card. GE designed the device to function as a member of the 193X series of replacement and optional drive boards. As it is from an older series, a number of obsolete drives across the GE brand can have this card installed. Six operational amplifiers are provided when this board is installed. All of the onboard amplifiers are designed to function as general purpose use connections.
When this card is installed in a drive it provides the host with six general purpose operational amplifiers. The positions labelled as OA1 through OA6 represent the board positions of these amplifiers. The card also includes two diode networks integrated onto the board. Four onboard potentiometers allow users to make adjustments and calibrations for the card. These are identified on the board as P801, P802, P803, and P804. For proper board function, a ±20 V input source is required.
Installation parameters found with the device instructions should be reviewed. By meeting these provided guidelines, risk of damage to the device is drastically lessened. To ensure proper installation, the only users who should be allowed to handle the 193X256ABG01 card are those trained to handle drive boards. When installing, be sure to refer to the series manual as well as the device datasheet for a complete wiring guide. All members of the 193X series were originally provided with technical support by the manufacturer, General Electric.
