About the 193X711ACG03
The 193X711ACG03 is a Power Amplifier Card manufactured by GE for the SCR Drive, the Speed Variator Drive, or compatible systems. Both are closed loop, adjustable speed, DC drive systems used for machine tool control and other uses.
The 193X711ACG03 is built with a silver and blue front panel that connects to the printed circuit board using two screw connections inserted through the bottom of the PCB and reinforced on the top edge by a metal bar. This panel has a single round opening. This opening has been closed up by a round covering. A rotary potentiometer located on the PCB can be accessed when this covering is removed. The panel is marked with the board name, ID number, and the GE logo. It has a single looped handle that is meant to make insertion and removal of the PCB from the rack an easier process.
The 193X711ACG03 has four transformers of various sizes. These transformers are supported by frame mounts. The board has a single inductor coil that has been connected to the board using a screw mount. The board is also populated with various capacitors and resistors. Some of these components have been mounted above the board surface, or have been mounted vertically.
Surface wiring is used heavily on the 193X711ACG03, to connect components to the board or to other components. In some cases metal connectors have been used. If the board begins to fail at irregular intervals, these connections should be checked to be sure proper contact is being made.
