About the 193X712AEG03
The 193X712AEG03 is a GE Power Amplifier Board manufactured for DC Drive systems like the Speed Variator Drive, the SCR Drive, and other compatible systems. These are closed loop, adjustable speed drives built with DC motors and control and power units.
The 193X712AEG03 has a front panel with a built-in handle. This is designed to make insertion and removal of the board from rack systems simpler. The front panel is marked with the board use (- Power Amplifier,) its ID number, and the GE logo. The single round opening in the panel is marked P206. This opening allows technicians to access a trim potentiometer attached to the printed circuit board. The front panel is attached to the PCB using two screws threaded through a flange in the panel up through the bottom of the PCB and reinforced with a metal bar along the top side of the board.
The 193X712AEG03 carries four transformers. This includes two large and two small transformers. All of these components are mounted in frames. The board has a single inductor coil, which is connected to the board via a single screw. The inductor coil wires to the board in four places using red, black, green and white wires.
The 193X712AEG03 uses carbon composite resistors of varying size and resistance. These may be mounted to the board horizontally or vertically. The board uses three wire wound resistors. These are mounted above the board using mounting brackets. Capacitors may be polyester vinyl or electrolytic material.
Four large black wires are attached to the surface of the 193X712AEG03. These attach to points labeled X1, W1, 29, and Y1. One of these wires threads through an opening in the board and connects to a screw mount connected to a large heat sink that populates the bottom side of the board. This component is marked 769376EBG02.
