About the 193X728AAG01
The 193X728AAG01 is a signal isolator card component created by GE for the Speed Variator Drive system or for the SCR Drive system. The Speed Variator Drive is an adjustable speed, constant torque range closed loop system. The SCR Drive is also an adjustable closed loop system, but it is a unidirectional drive with adjustable acceleration. Both the Speed Variator and the SCR Drive can be used for coordinated lines or for machine tool control.
The 193X728AAG01 signal isolator card is designed to provide electrical isolation of its output from its input when using a DC signal of either polarity. The DC signal is sent through the inverter circuit through the isolation transformer as a square wave AC signal and is rectified back into a DC signal in the converter circuit. The oscillator circuit on this board operates from 20 VDC and will produce an AC square wave of 5KC.
The 193X728AAG01 is built with a wide front panel that is silver with a blue front strip. This strip carries the name of the board, the board identification number, and the GE log. It has a rounded handle that connects to the panel at two points. The front panel connects to the PCB via two screws.
The bottom of the 193X728AAG01 is marked with a single code. It also shows solder marks where components have been connected to the board, and where the two largest components have been attached with screw mount connections. A significant amount of surface wiring is used on this board. Resistors tend to be made of carbon composite material. Capacitors tend to be polyester vinyl.
