Product Description

The 193X740AFG01 is a GE component created as a Driver Coordination card for DC Drive systems like the SCR Drive or the Speed Variator Drive.

As a Driver Coordination card, the 193X740AFG01 is designed to provide several functions.  It compares a reference input and a voltage feedback and then uses the resulting error signal to produce the control input signal for each gate pulse generator card.  It also provides protective functions like the current limit and instantaneous overcurrent trip.

The 193X740AFG01 is built with a blue and silver front panel.  This panel includes the board number, board function, and the circular General Electric logo. The panel has a curved front handle to allow for easy removal or insertion of the board from a rack system for maintenance or replacement.  The front panel has two rotary dials backed by rotary potentiometers. This panel connects to the PCB by way of two screws inserted through a bottom flange, through the circuit board, then through a reinforcing bar placed across the top surface of the PCB.  

The 193X740AFG01 is built with seven transistors.  It has six capacitors, including four polyester vinyl capacitors.  Most resistors on the board are made of carbon composite material. The board has several diodes.  Components can be mounted to the board vertically or horizontally. The board also has a single varistor.  Varistors are variable resistor components that will effectively become a short circuit during a voltage surge.   The rear of the PCB is marked with the code 942B482BA -A.
