About the 193X803BGG03
The 193X803BGG03 is a Power Amplifier/Power Supply board manufactured by GE for their Speed Variator Drive system as well as compatible drives like the SCR Drive.
There is a very wide front panel on the 193X803BGG03 that includes a curved handle attached about two-thirds of the way up the front surface. This handle makes it easier for technicians to insert or remove the board from rack systems for maintenance or replacement. The board is silver and black and has the board name, its identification number, and the GE logo printed along the top edge. The board has one opening that is marked P-606. The PCB and the front panel attach to each other using two screws.
The 193X803BGG03 is populated on its top surface with six transformers. Five of these are mounted in frames. One is marked 104X156DA018. The last is a toroidal transformer with a center screw mount. This transformer has four colored wires attached to its surface that also connect to the surface of the PCB. These include black, green, white, and red wires.
The 193X803BGG03 has four sets of vertical metal brackets for the horizontal mounting of components. These brackets hold a variety of resistors. The top board also has several vertically and horizontally mounted resistors connected directly to the board surface. The board has three large electrolytic capacitors. There is also one trim potentiometer that lines up with the opening in the front panel. The board has several black surface wires that connect to bias jumpers or run through openings in the board to the underside.
The 193X803BGG03 is built with two PCBs. The second PCB is sandwiched underneath the first, and is populated by a large heat sink component. It also has several bias jumper connections with surface wiring connections from the upper board. There are several polyester vinyl capacitors on this board, as well as carbon composite resistors.
