About the 193X803BGG06
The 193X803BGG06 is a Power Amplifier/Power Supply printed circuit board component manufactured by GE for the Speed Variator Drive, the SCR Drive, and other compatible systems. These are adjustable speed, closed-loop drive systems that run on a DC motor.
The 193X803BGG06 is built with stacked dual printed circuit boards connected by screws with an attached perpendicular front panel. This front panel is blue and gray in color and carries such information as the board identification number, the company logo, and the board use. The panel has an ergonomic handle attached to its surface about two-thirds of the way down its front. This handle makes it easier to insert or remove the board from a rack system for scheduled maintenance or for replacement. The panel has a single round opening.
The top circuit board of the 193X803BGG06 is populated with six transformers. One of these is a toroidal transformer that is connected to the board by a center screw mount. This transformer is wired to the board by four colored wires. The board has a single trim potentiometer located directly behind the opening in the front panel. The potentiometer allows for circuit calibration. The board has several sets of vertical brackets designed to mount components off the surface of the board. Carbon composite material is primarily used for resistors. Capacitors tend to be made of electrolytic material. The top board has several bias jumpers connected by black wires. Some of these wires exit through cutouts in the board surface to the lower board.
The lower board is populated by multiple components, but most of the space is taken up by a heat sink. Other components include polyester vinyl capacitors, resistors, and bias jumpers, which may be connected by wires to the top board.
