About the 331X210AAG08
The 331X210AAG08 is a General Purpose GP-100 module. This module is part of the Speed Variator DC drive line of products manufactured by General Electric. The Speed Variator and compatible drives the SCR drive are adjustable speed, closed-loop systems that run off a DC motor. These drives are often used for machine tool control but are considered general purpose drives.
The 331X210AAG08 is suitable for use in most factory areas where other industrial equipment is installed. The power unit should be located in a well-ventilated area that is not subject to ambient temperatures that reach above 40 C (104 F.) Locations with heavy steam or oil vapors, excessive moisture, chemical fumes, or excessive lint, dirt or dust should be avoided. This unit should never be installed where hazardous, combustible vapors or dust are present. Mounting holes are located on the rear of the unit. The unit can be mounted on any reasonably flat, firm surface.
Input voltage for the 331X210AAG08 is from a local A/C power source. It is recommended the power unit, the operator station, and the DC motor enclosure all be grounded in accordance with NEC or local code requirements. Installation and maintenance of this equipment should only be done by well-trained personnel. This equipment could be hazardous to the untrained.
