About the 531X111PSHAAG2
The 531X111PSHAAG2 board was developed by General Electric to function as a motor field control and power supply board. Because of its placement in the 531X series, this card can be installed into a number of older model drives across the GE brand. The required power supply for drive operation is furnished by this card. As it was developed as a G2 version, this board is best suited for installation in external exciters.
531X111PSHAAG2 is capable of producing three different voltage supplies for the drive to draw from. These rated supplies include 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC. A pulse transformer integrated onto the board also provides the supply needed to power the motor field circuits in the host drive. System calibrations and drive control options can be executed with this card. System control options can be executed using one of the three onboard relays. The relays are named on the card as K1, for RUN, K2, for MAX, and K3, for FAULT. There are also five jumpers and three potentiometers built into the board. The jumpers are used for current and feedback signal adjustments while the potentiometers are used for circuit and current feedback calibrations.
Be sure to review the installation parameters provided by General Electric before beginning board installation. Device protection is reliant on only permitting qualified users to handle and install this card. A comprehensive wiring guide for the 531X111PSHAAG2 power supply board can be found in the board’s manual and datasheet. General Electric, the device’s manufacturer, was the original technical support provider for the board.
