About the 531X111PSHACG1
When operating within a host drive, the 531X111PSHACG1 board is designed to function as a motor field control and power supply card. General Electric developed the board to be a member of the 531X series of replacement drive and exciter cards. Since the device is a replacement card, it has the functionality to be installed into a number of drives and exciters across the GE brand. The power supplies required by the drive for operation are furnished with this card. As an older model G1 board, this card includes MOVs for the AC line that are mounted on the card, rather than externally.
An integral feature of the 531X111PSHACG1 board is the production of sourced power supplies. The host drive can draw from supplies rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC using this board. An integrated pulse transformer also furnishes supplies needed to energize the motor field control circuits of the drive. An array of onboard adjustments are available for users to configure as required. System control options can be executed using one of the six relays found on the card. The board is also comprised of five jumpers and three potentiometers. Feedback and current signal adjustment is conducted using the jumpers while the potentiometers allow for current and circuit feedback calibration.
Any provided installation parameters must be reviewed prior to installing the 531X111PSHACG1 power supply board. These manufacturer provided guidelines will help to reduce any risk of damages to the drive board. As it requires careful installation, only qualified personnel should be permitted to handle and instal this card. For a complete guide to wiring the board, please refer to the device’s manual as well as its datasheet. General Electric, the device’s manufacturer, was the original provider of technical support for this board.
