About the 531X111PSHACG2
General Electric developed the 531X111PSHACG2 card to function as a motor field control and power supply board when installed in a drive. The card was manufactured as a member of the 531X series of replacement boards. An array of drives from across the GE brand are designed to have this board be installed in its cabinet. When installed in a drive system, this board provides the necessary power required by the drive. This specific board was developed as a G2 version, the card was developed to operate within an external exciter rather than a drive.
Three voltages are produced when this card is installed into a drive. The host can source outputs rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC. Supplies required by the drive’s motor field control circuits are also provided via the integrated pulse transformer. The board includes a number of adjustable features that can be configured depending on user need. Six relays provide areas for system control option execution. The 531X111PSHACG2 card also consists of five jumpers and three potentiometers. The jumpers can adjust current and feedback signals while the potentiometers can calibrate circuit and current feedbacks.
Device installation must occur only after all provided installation parameters have been reviewed. By adhering to these guidelines, the risk of damage to the device is lessened. Only qualified personnel who are trained to handle drive and exciter boards should be permitted to install this card. Be sure to refer to the device’s manual and datasheet for an overarching guide to wiring and installing the 531X111PSHACG2 card. Originally, technical support for this device was provided by General Electric, the board’s manufacturer.
