About the 531X111PSHARG2
The General Electric 531X111PSHARG2 card is a motor field control and power supply board. When developed, this card was made for the 531X series of replacement boards. Any number of drives and exciters manufactured by GE can have this card installed in its cabinet. This power supply board provides the power supply required by the drive to operate. It also contains the proper equipment to power the board’s motor field circuitry. As a G2 revision of the board, this card is developed for use with an external exciters.
531X111PSHARG2 provides the drive with the necessary power supplies needed to properly operate. Supplies rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC can all be produced by the card. Motor field circuitry found on the drive are powered by the card’s integrated pulse transformer. The card contains three relays, RUN (K1), MAX (K2), and FAULT (K3) to provide system control options. Three potentiometers are also integrated onto the board. P1 (FIELD SCALE), P2 (CFB ZERO), and P3 (CFB ADJUST) all allow users to calibrate or adjust circuits or current feedbacks. Five configurable jumpers allow users to select and adjust feedback and current signals.
When installing the card, be sure to follow all provided installation parameters. Any guidelines provided by the manufacturer should be met to protect device integrity. Only allow trained personnel qualified to handle drive boards to install this card. A complete wiring and installation guide for the 531X111PSHARG2 board is available in the device’s manual and datasheet. Technical support for this power supply board was originally provided by the device’s manufacturer, General Electric.
