General Electric designed the 531X111PSHASG1 card as a motor field control and power supply board. It was designed for the 531X series of replacement boards for GE drives. Most drives across the series can accept this card in its cabinet. When installed, the board furnishes the power supply required by the drive to operate. The motor field circuitry also receives a power supply from the card.
Since this card provides power to the drive, it serves an important purpose for overall operation. 531X111PSHASG1 can provide three different rated voltages to the drive. Created supplies include 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC. Supplies are also provided to the motor field circuit from the board’s integrated pulse transformer. Relays on the board are also available, including RUN (K1), MAX (K2), and FAULT (K3). Current and circuit feedbacks can be calibrated and adjusted using the three potentiometers found on the card. Users can also configure the five jumpers to adjust and fix feedback and current signals.
Parameters provided by the manufacturer regarding installation should be followed. The risk of damage or defect to the board are lessened when these guidelines are followed.
