531X111PSHASG3 is a motor field control and power supply board. It is a member of General Electric’s 531X series of replacement boards. This card can be installed in a number of drives and exciters from across the GE brand. Power supplies required by the drive are furnished by this card. It can also power the device’s integral motor field circuitry. Different revisions of this card have been made, resulting in different board configurations. This card is a G3 revision with all MOVs connected to the AC line are externally mounted.

The power board is an integral part of the drive system. Three different power supplies rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC are produced by this card. Motor field circuitries are provided with power by the 531X111PSHASG3 board’s integrated pulse transformer. There are three relays incorporated onto the card as well. These include RUN or K1, MAX or K2, and FAULT or K3. Also included are three potentiometers that allow users to adjust and calibrate circuit and current feedbacks. Five configurable jumpers also allow users to adjust current and feedback signals.

Provided parameters regarding board installation should be met by the user. Following these will lessen the risk of device damages to the board and the drive. 531X111PSHASG3 should only be handled by qualified personnel that are trained to install these types of drive boards.
