About the 531X111PSHAWG2
The 531X111PSHAWG2 card was manufactured by General Electric to operate as a motor field control and power supply board. When developed, this card was created for the 531X series of replacement drive and exciter boards. Drives across the GE family can have this card installed into its cabinet. The card works to provide the required power supplies needed for the drive. As a G2 revision of the board, this card specifically was designed to be installed in an external exciter.
Three power supplies can be sourced using this supply board. Installing the 531X111PSHAWG2 board provides supplies rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC and 24 VDC to the host drive. The board also provides the drive with an integrated pulse transformer to power the motor field circuitry. Three relay points are also provided by the card. These can be identified as position K1 (RUN), K2 (MAX), and K3 (FAULT). System control options can be utilized with these relays. Circuit and current feedbacks can be adjusted and calibrated with the three onboard potentiometers. Five jumpers also allow for adjustments to be made to the current and feedback signals.
Be sure to review all provided installation parameters associated with this card. To lessen the risk of device damage, only qualified personnel should be permitted to install the 531X111PSHAWG2 power supply board. The device manual and datasheet contains a comprehensive wiring and installation guide. Technical support for this board was originally provided by General Electric.
