About the 531X111PSHAWG3
General Electric’s 531X111PSHAWG3 card was originally developed to function as a power supply and motor field control board. This card was developed as a replacement board for the GE 531X replacement card series. Older drives from the GE family can have this card installed in the device’s cabinet. Installing the card provides the host drive with the power supplies needed for proper function. Developed as a G3 board version, this card features MOVs for the AC line that are not mounted on the board. The MOVs are mounted on externally rather than on the board.
When installed, the 531X111PSHAWG3 board provides the drive with three power supplies. Users can select the required voltage from 5 VDC, 15 VDC and 24 VDC. Additionally, the card provides an integrated pulse transformer that powers the installed drive’s motor field circuitry. The board also features a number of additional features. Onboard, the card includes three relay points. These relays allow the user to execute system control functions on the board. Also featured on the card are three potentiometers and five jumpers. The potentiometers allow for adjustments to be made to the current and circuit feedbacks, while the jumpers allow for current and feedback signal calibration.
Any manufacturer provided installation parameters should be reviewed before beginning device installation. Only permit users who are trained to handle drive boards to install this card. A comprehensive wiring guide for the 531X111PSHAWG3 power supply board can be located in the series manual as well as the device datasheet. General Electric, the device manufacturer, originally provided the card with technical support.
