About the 531X121PCRAHG1
The GE Power Connection Board 531X121PCRAHG1 is a renewal part for multiple original equipment power connection boards. Servicing the drive in which you replace the board requires knowledge of working with electrical equipment. The first thing to do is check the area for electrical safety hazards. Make sure the floors are not wet or damp and make sure missing safety grounds are repaired also. And replace all ungrounded power extension cords (2-prong) with grounded (3-prong) extension cords. Some tools that appears to be insulated from electrical shock are not so use only approved hand tools that are insulated.
You might plan to use a dental mirror to view hard-to-see components. If you do, the reflective surface is conductive and can cause injury to the servicer or damage to components if it touches a live current. It is best practice to use the buddy system when you work with high-voltage equipment. That is, don’t work alone and have someone nearby at all times. Before you start, inspect all hand tools, testing equipment, and other devices for signs of wear of the insulation material. Discard any tools that have worn insulation to prevent accidents.
Keep the 531X121PCRAHG1 board in the static protective bag until you are ready to install it. Locate a flat clean surface and hold the board by the edges and flatten the protective bag on the surface and place the board on the bag. Use your fingers to move the jumpers over the pins.
