About the 531X121PCRAKG1
The GE Power Connection Board 531X121PCRAKG1 is a renewal part for multiple original equipment power connection boards. The 531X121PCRAKG1 board is designed to be a replacement for several different power connection boards that provide a wide variety of voltages. The G1 and G4 voltages range from 190 volts to 500 volts. The G2 voltages range from 350 volts to 700 volts. The G3 voltage range from 50 to 240 volts. To achieve the specific voltages you need for your drive, the 531X121PCRAKG1 board provides a couple jumpers that you set to mimic the voltages in the original board you are replacing in the drive.
The manuals that come with the board provide the information you need to cross reference your drive to the jumper settings to use. It is critical that the jumpers are set correctly to avoid damage to the components of the drive. The board has two jumpers with seven pins for each jumper. Depending on the drive, you place the jumper over different sets of pins to achieve the right voltages.
For a brief example, place JP1 over pins P3 and P8 and insert the JP2 jumper over pins P6 and P9 for G1 and G4 voltage of 190, G2 voltage of 350, and G3 voltage of 50. Read and follow the information in the manual that comes with the renewal board for the results you require for your drive.
When you are setting the jumpers, rest the board on a flat surface on top of the protective bag and use your fingers or pliers to move the jumpers.
