About the 531X122PCNAEG1
The GE Power Connection Board 531X122PCNAEG1 is a renewal part for multiple original equipment power connection boards. Signal cables and power cables are connected to the 531X122PCNAEG1 board and when you switch out the board you must connect the cables to the right connectors and not damage any of the cables in the process.
Write down the connector identifiers to which the cables are connected on the board and attach the information to the cables. This provides a record of where to attach the cables on the renewal board. If the replacement board is a newer version of the same board the factory might have changed the location of the connectors but that doesn’t mean the boards are incompatible or don’t behave the same in the drive. Compatibility is designed and tested in the new board. The board is tested in all the drives for which it is a replacement so you can consider it a duplicate board.
Pull the new board out of the protective bag and hold it only by the edges to guard against damage to the components. Then carefully hold one cable by the connector and pull if from the old board. Then, push it directly into the matching connector on the new board.
Open all the locking tabs that secure the board in the drive and carefully remove the defective board. Hold the new board level and position yourself to have a clear view of the board. Without touching any other boards or objects in the drive, insert the board.
