About the 531X122PCNAKG1
The GE Power Connection Board 531X122PCNAKG1 is a renewal part for multiple original equipment power connection boards. The 531X122PCNAKG1 board can be harmed by a buildup of static in the board or unreliable operation is possible. There are guidelines that apply to all electronic equipment that can be followed to prevent problems.
A wrist strap is a requirement for when you touch or in anyway work on the board. Some workbenches have a connector into which you can plug a wrist strap. Others require you to clip the wrist strap to an unpainted metal surface. In either case the concept is the same that any static drains from your body to the grounded metal of the bench or other metal surface.
Most importantly, leave the board in the protective bag and don’t touch it unless necessary and don’t carry it around. Best practice is to leave it in the shipping box until you need it.
When you are ready to install it, lay the bag on a table, desk, or work bench and place the board on it. Move the jumpers as required for your board using the instructions in the documentation that comes with the board. Pick up the board by the edges and move any cables from the old board to the new board. Unlock the old board from the drive cabinet and switch out the boards. Lock the new board in place and lock the cabinet door. Startup the 3-phase power supply and start the drive.
