531X124MSDAJG2--MFC Suppression Board

The 531X124MSDAJG2 is a smaller board component manufactured by GE to fit into their general purpose drive systems like the DC-300.

The 531X124MSDAJG2  is an MFC Suppression Board.  This is only one of several versions of this board.  The 531X124MSDAJG2 is a small, rectangular board that is built with multiple cutouts and drill holes.  The center of the board has four round cutouts that are ringed with a conductive material; each of these is labeled as AF, DW, DZ, and KF.  There are two additional round cutouts and one oblong cutout. These are marked DX, DY, and GF.

The 531X124MSDAJG2 has three metal oxide varistors.  MOVs are used for over-voltage protection from transient surges using voltage-clamping, in the same way a Zener diode might.  The board has four stab-on connectors that are located along the top edge of the board. These are labeled K1 through K4. The board has a single two-pin header connector and two terminal pin connectors. The terminal pin connectors are located in the bottom left corner.

Other components on the 531X124MSDAJG2 include two capacitors that each have a zip tie adding support and connection to the board.  It has two wire wound resistors. There are also four metal film resistors. The board has a single transformer. This component uses surface wiring to connect to various other components on the board.
