Product Description

The 531X125SNHAFG1 is a turbine control board designed as part of General Electric’s drives or exciters.  This is a replacement part that can be used as a snubber board.  GE made a number of different versions of this board for their various mechanical systems.   Snubber boards come in various sizes and designs, but they are all used to limit or ‘snub’ temporary unwanted voltages within electrical systems.  This voltage may be the result of current flow interruptions or result from electromagnetic interference.  These voltage transients are suppressed by the snubber board, which provides a short-term current path rather than allowing arcing across switches and/or relays. 

The 531X125SNHAFG1 is a small rectangular board.  It has small notches along each side.  The board has a single large capacitor mounted close to one corner.  This is connected to the board with axial leads and secondarily supported by a zip tie connecting through two drilled holes in the board’s surface.   The other few components on the board include a single wire jumper (J1), a resistor, a disc capacitor, and a diode.   Additionally, the board has two drilled holes near its center marked P and N.
