About the 531X138RDGBBG1
531X138RDGBBG1--Rack Driver Plug Board
The 531X138RDGBBG1 is a board component manufactured by General Electric to fit into their general purpose drive systems. Many of these systems are now considered to be obsolete. However, their original design allowed them to be dynamic, flexible systems capable of many industrial tasks.
The 531X138RDGBBG1 functions as a Rack Driver Plug Card. It is a large rectangular card with only a few components. The board is designed to allow multiple connections to occur within the rack system through a single printed circuit board.
The 531X138RDGBBG1 is marked with several codes, including its alternate board number, VA-4, and FR00/0. The board is designed with three 24-pin header connectors placed one above each other along the left edge of the board. Along the right edge of the board, there is a 9-pin connector, a 14-pin connector, and a 16-pin connector. Below these are two lines of additional connectors. These run parallel to the bottom edge. Each pin on these connectors is individually numbered and labeled.
There are no other components on the surface of the 531X138RDGBBG1 beside the previously described header connectors. The board is drilled for mounting in six places (corners and edges.) More information on board operation, or information on installation or maintenance, may be found through GE publications like series user guides and drive manuals. GE was responsible for all technical support for this and other 531x series boards.
