About the 531X149SNCABG1
531X149SNCABG1--Snubber Board
The 531X149SNCABG1 is a small board component fabricated by GE for use within GE’s DC-300 drive or other similar general-purpose drive systems. Many of these systems are now considered to be obsolete. However, these systems were created by GE to be dynamic and flexible, capable of handling a wide variety of industrial tasks.
The 531X149SNCABG1 is a Snubber Card that is rated 150-300 HP. Snubbers are designed to be energy-absorbing circuits that are used to suppress voltage spikes caused when a switch opens. Snubbers reduce current and voltage amplitude and limit the rate of rising of voltage and current. This board is marked with codes like VA-5, GE-Fanuc, 003/0, and FR00/1. It also has a secondary board number of F31X149SNCABG1.
The 531X149SNCABG1 has eight diodes on its surface. It has five wire-wound resistors (marked HEI 9446 FS-20S-5 NI) and six capacitors. Capacitors are secondarily supported and connected to the board using zip-ties. The board also has four small metal plates with openings cut in their center-mounted to the board surface, as well as having several stab-on connectors.
If more information is needed about this board component, please refer to publications from General Electric. Operation information and installation procedures can be found through series user guides, Snubber Board data sheets, or drive manuals. GE provided all original technical support for this component.
AX Control protects all static-sensitive boards during storage and during shipment with an anti-static wrap or bag. Speak to your sales representative about expedited shipping options.
