531X159MPEAMG1--Motor Protection Equipment Board

The 531X159MPEAMG1 is a board component created by General Electric to be used within their general purpose drives, like the AC-300 or the DC-300.  Not all PCBs in the 531x series is compatible with all drives; please consult your manual.

The 531X159MPEAMG1 functions as a Motor Protection Equipment Board.  This board is populated by a large number of resistors, capacitors, and diodes. Resistors are usually made of metal film, but some carbon composite resistors are used on the board.  Capacitors use various materials, including polyester vinyl, electrolytic material, and ceramic. The board has three resistor network arrays and ten potentiometers.

The 531X159MPEAMG1 has three transformers of three different designs on its surface.  One of these transformers uses surface wiring to attach to terminal pins. There are two relays, both located on the same side of the board.  There are over twenty jumper switches, two fuses, two heat sinks, several transistors, and over a dozen integrated circuits on the board’s surface.  

Other components on the surface of the 531X159MPEAMG1 include a switch component, six red LED indicators, one green LED indicator, stab-on connectors, header connectors, and four terminal strips.  The terminal strips are all located on the same side of the board.
