About the 531X171TMAAFG2
The GE Terminal Board Relay Card 531X171TMAAFG2 contains interface circuitry and the connection terminals for most signal I/O. The board connects to the drive control board through cables. The GE Terminal Board Relay Card 531X171TMAAFG2 contains a terminal for connecting many signal wires to the board. The board is a replacement for several boards and functions identically to the original boards. However, you might find that some of the terminals do not have an exact match between the defective board and the replacement board.
When you receive the board it is shipped in a container that is sealed with a security tape over the box lid. Open the lid of the box and gather all the documentation that came with the board. This includes warranty information, service information, and a user manual. The user manual contains instructions for wiring the board correctly between the defective board and the new board. For example, if a wire is attached to terminal 24 on the defective board, the connector is ACOM on the old board and AN1 on the replacement board. Simply move the wire from 4TB to the 3TB assembly on the replacement board.
When you open the box notice that the board is wrapped in a static protective bag. Leave the board wrapped so that static electricity cannot build up on the board. If you have a need to pick up the board, hold it by the edges. That is, do not hold the board by pressing on the components on the board or the solder points. The components might break off the board or might be damaged under the pressure of your hands.
