About the 531X179PLKAJG1
531X179PLKAJG1--Drive Application Card
The 531X179PLKAJG1 is a board component fabricated by the General Electric company as part of their general purpose drive systems. This includes the DC-300 and other comparable drives. Originally designed to be flexible and dynamic systems capable of use in a number of industrial settings, these drives are generally considered obsolete today. However, some original design features remain timely.
The 531X179PLKAJG1 is a Drive Application Card. This board carries codes like GE-Fanuc, VA-5, and 006/02. Some codes are printed on the rear surface of the board.
The 531X179PLKAJG1 has three relays. There is a single transformer component located next to the board’s only fuse. The card has two switches; each of these has five toggles placed on its top surface that can be individually set. There is a line of LED (light emitting diode) indicators placed near the center of the board, including seven red LEDs and one green LED.
Other components on the surface of the 531X179PLKAJG1 include integrated circuits, transistors, a rectifier diode and other diodes, four potentiometers, capacitors of various materials, jumper switches, and resistors. Connections to other boards or off-board components are made through two two-pin header connectors, a third header connector, and two terminal strips. The terminal strips are located on opposite sides of the board, both parallel to and next to a short board edge.
If handling or maintenance procedures are needed please refer to publications released by GE. These will also provide installation instructions. Publications include series user guides, drive manuals, and individual board data sheets.
