531X184IPTADG1--Inv. Pulse Transformer Board

The 531X184IPTADG1 is a board component fabricated by General Electric as part of their general purpose drive systems.  This includes systems like the AC-300 and the DC-300.

The 531X184IPTADG1 functions as an Inverse Pulse Transformer Board.  This is a large, long rectangular board with few components. It is marked with codes like VA-4, FR00/0, 002/1 and with the board’s alternate F31x board number. It is drilled for mounting in each corner.

The 531X184IPTADG1 has a line of six transformers placed on its top edge.  These components are set in a single line but are not placed across the board in an equidistant way.  Rather, there is a set of three, then one, then a set of two. Each one of these ‘sets’ has its own red LED indicator associated with it.  Each transformer has a two-pin header connector, a carbon composite resistor, a ceramic capacitor, and a metal film resistor grouped with it.    In between the single transformer and the group of two, there is a line of eight stab-on connectors. These are set on the board in pairs.

The left edge of the 531X184IPTADG1 has two vertical pin cable connectors.  Next to these components, there is a line of resistors and capacitors, and then another line containing two integrated circuits and a single high voltage electrolytic capacitor.   The board is empty beside the components located on the left and top edges.
