About the 531X187VCTABG1
The General Electric 531X187VCTABG1 is a voltage to current transducer card. This two channel board was developed for the 531X series of drive boards. It was designed to operate in Drives Products Operation adjustable drives, including AC-300, DC-300, and AC-500 series drives. Other members of the Drives Products Operation family can operate with this card installed. When installed, the transducer on the board can be used as either a voltage to isolated current or a voltage to isolated voltage.
When installed, 531X187VCTABG1 provides a conversion point for incoming voltages into isolated currents. Two isolated outputs can be found labelled as ATB and BTB on the card. The board receives a 24 VDC supply that produces isolated dual power supplies that feed to the outputs of the two channels. A number of features on the board can be adjusted to allow for job specific requirements. Configurable jumpers on the card allows users to adjust the filtering time constant. Users can also adjust the required input level needed to produce a full scale output using the switches found onboard.
Users should strive to meet all installation parameters outlined by the device’s manufacturer. Only qualified personnel trained in handling and assembling drive boards should be permitted to install this board. Wiring is another crucial aspect that should only be performed by experienced personnel. To review a complete guide to wiring and installing 531X187VCTABG1, please refer to the board’s manual and datasheet. General Electric was the original provider of technical support for boards found in the 531X series.
