About the 531X187VCTABH1
531X187VCTABH1 is a voltage to current transducer card developed by General Electric for the 531X board series. Originally this card was designed for AC-300, DC-300, and AC-500 series Drive Products Operation adjustable speed drives. Now, this board can be placed in almost any Drive Products Operation drive, only in a different mounting location than the previously listed series. This transducer card can operate by converting incoming voltage signals into either isolated current or isolated voltage signals.
A conversion point for voltage inputs is provided by this board. 531X187VCTABH1 includes two isolated outputs, labelled on the board as ATB and BTB. Two isolated power supplies are sourced from the 24 VDC supply fed to the board. Each isolated supply provides power to the outputs of the two channels. Configurable points on the board allow for users to adjust functions as required by individual job loads. Switches located on the card allow for adjustments to the required input levels needed to produce the full scale output. Jumpers are also included to allow users to adjust the filtering time constant on board.
All installation parameters related to the board and the drive should be met by users. Overall drive system integrity is reliant on users following all of these manufacturer provided directions. Only personnel qualified to handle the board should be permitted to install this drive. For a complete guide to wiring 531X187VCTABH1 to its board, please refer to the device manual and datasheet. Technical support for the 531X series of boards was originally provided by General Electric.
