About the 531X187VCTADG1
General Electric developed the 531X187VCTADG1 voltage to current transducer card for the 531X series of boards. When installed this transducer card works to convert received voltage signals into either isolated current or isolated voltage signals. Originally, only Drive Products Operation series DC-300, AC-300, and AC-500 drives could accept this card. This card can now be accepted by most drives using Drive Products Operation technology. Mounting locations vary depending on the installed drive.
Voltages are provided with a conversion point when sent to this board. Two isolated outputs, named ATB and BTB, are found on the 531X187VCTADG1 board. Outputs for the two channels are powered by the 24 VDC supply sourced to the board. The individual requirements for specific loads can be met by the configurable points on the board. On board, jumpers allow users to alter the filtering time constant for the signals. Switches also allow for adjustments to change the baseline input level required to produce a complete output.
Installation parameters relating to the board should be met to ensure overall drive operation. Personnel who are trained to install boards should be the only users permitted to handle the 531X187VCTADG1 board. Proper wiring is critical to ensuring proper board function. Please review the complete wiring and installation instructions found in the device’s datasheet and manual. Members of the 531X series of boards were originally provided with technical support by the manufacturer, General Electric.
