About the 531X191RTBAKG3
General Electric manufactured the 531X191RTBAKG3 card to operate as a relay terminal board. This device was developed as a member of the 531X series of replacement drive boards. Since it functions as a replacement board, a number of older model GE drives can have this card installed in its drive cabinet. The host drive is provided with two functions when this card is installed. The relay terminal board provides the drive with seven relay contacts on the board as well as direct access to the onboard contacts and coils.
A number of integrated features are found on this relay terminal board. Installing the 531X191RTBAKG3 board provides seven relay points to the installed drive. External circuits connected to the board can be controlled using these relays. It can also perform tabulations for the RTB points and relay contacts. All coil and contact ratings are developed for the G3 version of the board. Each relay contains a coil that rates at 115 VAC with a frequency rate of 50/60 Hz. Contacts within the relays have a 2.4 A rating, with rated voltages of 28 VDC or 125 VAC. The board caps inrush currents at 25 mA, while holding currents are rated at 14 mA.
Board integrity relies on users reviewing and following any provided installation parameters. As the device is a sensitive piece of equipment, 531X191RTBAKG3 should only be installed by personnel trained to handle drive boards. Be sure to carefully review all installation and wiring instructions. A comprehensive wiring guide for this relay terminal board is available in the device manual and datasheet. Technical support for this board was originally provided by the manufacturer, General Electric.
