About the 531X207LCSACG1
The General Electric 531X207LCSACG1 is a local area network (LAN) current source board. This optional card is a member of the 531X series of replacement and optional boards. A number of drives and exciters from the GE brand can accept and use this LAN current source board. The card draws its source from a fuse protected 115 VAC input power. When powered on, a power supply rating of either 5 VDC or 15 VDC is provided by the board as well as a voltage limited 0.3 A current source.
When installed, 531X207LCSACG1 provides the LAN board of its drive with a current source. Both 5 VDC and 15 VDC can be supplied via this board, depending on user selection. A jumper (JP1) found on board allows users to select the supply, with position 1.2 allowing 5 VDC and 2.3 allowing 15 VDC. An onboard potentiometer (P1) allows users to adjust output voltages produced by these supplies. The card also includes a protected fuse and a terminal board. Inputs to the board and outputs sent from the board are all carried through the 12-point terminal board.
Any provided installation parameters should be met to protect the integrity of the board. Only qualified personnel who are trained and experienced in handling drive boards should be permitted to install 531X207LCSACG1. For directions on how to properly wire the LAN current source board, please use the illustrated instructions found in the device’s datasheet and manual. Boards from the 531X series were originally provided with technical support by General Electric, the manufacturer.
