About the 531X207LCSAEG1
531X207LCSAEG1 is a local area network (LAN) current source board developed for General Electric’s 531X series of replacement boards. As a replacement board, this card can be used across a range of GE brand drives and exciters. When installed in a drive, this current source board provides power supplies rated at 5 VDC and 15 VDC with a 0.3 A voltage limited current source for the drive’s LAN. All sourced power to the card is drawn from a 115 VAC fuse protected input power.
LAN operations of the drive are dependent upon this board functioning properly. 531X207LCSAEG1 includes a number of configurable options that allow users to apply this board to a number of tasks. The only jumper found on the board, labelled JP1, provides users with the ability to select between the 5 VDC and 15 VDC supply. Position 1.2 allows for the 5 VDC supply, while 2.3 provides the 15 VDC supply. Output voltages produced by these are also configurable using the one integrated potentiometer. The 12 point terminal attached to the card works as the interfacing point, sending and receiving voltage signals.
Any installation parameters provided with the board should be met. Following all guidelines from the manufacturer will ensure the integrity of the 531X207LCSAEG1 board as well as the overall drive system. Only permit qualified personnel trained in handling drive components to handle or install this board. Refer to the device’s datasheet and manual for a complete installation and wiring guide. All members of the 531X family of boards were provided with technical support by the original manufacturer, General Electric.
