About the 531X207LCSAFG1
The 531X207LCSAFG1 is a local area network (LAN) current source board. This unit was developed by General Electric for their 531X series of boards. The card can be accepted by a wide range of GE drives and exciters. When installed, the card provides the drive’s LAN systems with power supplies rated at either 5 VDC or 15 VDC. Also provided by the board is a voltage limited current source rated at 0.3 A. A 115 VDC fuse protected input provides sourced supplies to the board.
System flexibility is a major design feature of the 531X207LCSAFG1. Users are able to select between two LAN power supplies, depending on individual load requirements. To select between the power supplies, moving the board’s jumper to position 1.2 provides 5 VDC, while 2.3 provides 15 VDC. Users can also select the voltage output created by the board to adjust to the selected inputs. Output voltage can be selected using the potentiometer available on board. All signals sent to and from the card are relayed through the 12 point terminal integrated into the card.
Device preservation is dependent upon users following all outline installation parameters provided with the board. Drive function will benefit by adhering to these guidelines. Installation of 531X207LCSAFG1 should only be performed by qualified personnel trained to handle these sensitive boards. Please refer to the device’s manual and its datasheet for a complete guide to wiring and installing the board. All members of the 531X board series were originally provided with technical support by the manufacturer, General Electric.
