About the 531X207LCSAHG1
General Electric developed the 531X207LCSAHG1 board as a local area network (LAN) current source board. This card was designed for the 531X series of replacement boards. Members of this board series can be installed in a number of drives and exciters across the GE family. When installed, this card provides voltages rated at either 5 VDC or 15 VDC, as well as a 0.3 A voltage limited current source. All inputs sourced to the board are fed through a fuse protected 115 VAC input power.
The board provides the power supply necessary for the LAN board to operate. Two voltage options are available for users to choose from. An integrated jumper (J1) allows the user to select the provided voltage, either 5 or 15 VDC. Output voltages produced by the sources can be adjusted to match the input selected. A potentiometer found on the 531X207LCSAHG1 card allows for this adjustment. A terminal board as well as a protected fuse are also featured on this card. The 12-point terminal board acts as the medium for all inputs and outputs sent through the board.
All provided installation parameters should be reviewed before installing the board. When these are met, the risk of damages to the board are significantly reduced. As it features electric circuits, the LAN current source board should only be handled by qualified personnel. Wiring instructions for the 531X207LCSAHG1 board can be found in the series manual as well as the device datasheet. Technical support for replacement boards from the 531X series was originally provided by the manufacturer, General Electric.
