The 531X301DCCASM1 is a board component designed to fit into various GE general purpose drives and exciters.   The board is used as a drive control card.  It is a FANUC part that was created in coordination between Fuji and General Electric, in a desire to create parts with higher reliability and lower costs.  

As a drive control card, the 531X301DCCASM1 has built-in I/O peripherals that are designed to decode and interrupt timer/counters.  It also provides voltage-controlled oscillator inputs.  The board provides system-level functions like regulating loops for speed and position to the overall system.   There is a reset switch on the board’s surface that allows for a reset of drive applications.  

The 531X301DCCASM1 includes multiple integrated circuits on its surface.  These include  inverters, decoder/drivers, operational amplifiers, and FPGA (field-programmable gate arrays.)   These chips are typically marked with part numbers for easy identification.  

Other components on the surface of the 531X301DCCASM1 board include resistor network arrays, resistors, jumper switches, capacitors, and a multi-position LED indicator.   The board also has several standoffs that have been pre-mounted to the surface.  These allow later installation of auxiliary boards to extend the capabilities of the DCCA board.  The main board has been pre-drilled to allow for mounting.  It does not include a front faceplate.
