The 531X301DCCAXM1 functions as a Drive Control Board.  The board is populated primarily by integrated circuits.  There are over eighty integrated circuits on the board surface, including field programmable gate arrays, oscillating chips, and high-performance analog operational amplifiers. These are only some examples of the many integrated chips on the board.

Other components on the 531X301DCCAXM1 include TP test points, jumper switches, and a reset switch.  The reset switch is a single press-button located in the upper left corner of the board. It has a LED indicator bar that is placed in the lower right hand quadrant. The board also has resistor network arrays, metal film resistors, and capacitors made from materials like polyester vinyl and ceramic, as well as other materials.  The board has several sets of standoffs placed to allow the addition of auxiliary boards, along with vertical pin cable connectors to allow these auxiliaries to communicate with the motherboard.
