531X301DCCCAM1--Drive Control Board

The 531X301DCCCAM1 is a GE Drive Control Board manufactured as a component within one of several general purpose drive systems.  These drive systems, like the DC-300 drive, are often considered obsolete now, but they were designed by General Electric as dynamic and flexible systems capable of performing various tasks on a variety of industrial settings.

The 531X301DCCCAM1 is a large, rectangular board built with screw mounts drilled into each corner.  The board has eight standoffs mounted to the board surface which allow two auxiliary boards to be connected to the  531X301DCCCAM1. These optional boards attach to screws to the standoffs and communicate with the main board via cables connected to one of several vertical pin cable connectors.  The board has five vertical pin (male) cable connectors across its surface. It also has two additional header connectors.

The 531X301DCCCAM1  has over eighty integrated circuits.  These circuits perform a variety of functions.  Each IC is marked with a manufacturer number to allow for quick identification of each IC.  Other components on the board surface include TP test points, a reset switch, and multiple jumper switches.   An LED component with multiple lights built into its surface is located in the lower right quadrant. The board has metal film resistors and capacitors made from ceramic, poly vinyl and electrolytic materials.  There are over forty-five resistor network arrays across the board; these are typically used for voltage division.
