About the 531X305NTBALG1
When developed, the 531X305NTBALG1 card was designed to function as an NTB/3TB terminal board. General Electric developed this card as a member of the 531X series of replacement drive boards. Installing this card provides the host with an array of functions and tools. The terminal board includes interfacing capabilities such as power supplies, encoders, analog I/O, serial and relay outputs.
Installing the 531X305NTBALG1 NTB/3TB terminal board provides the drive with a number of critical system functions. The board is capable of producing regulated outputs rated at 5 VDC and 15 VDC. It is also able to produce unregulated outputs rated at 24 VDC and 120 VAC. Jumpers found on the board provide configuration access for 5 V and 15 V encoders. The card is also comprised of four potentiometers and seven relay positions. The potentiometers are used to scale low level analog I/O signals inputted to the drive. Of the relays, they are composed of either form C or form A outputs. Contacts within the relays include a rating of 120 VAC.
Any manufacturer provided installation parameters should be reviewed before beginning to install the drive. Meeting any requirements will help to lessen the risk of damages to the device. To ensure the device will operate properly, the board should only be installed by trained personnel qualified to handle terminal boards. Reference the series manual as well as the device datasheet for a complete guide to wiring the 531X305NTBALG1 card. Technical support for the NTB/3TB terminal board was originally provided by the device’s manufacturer, General Electric.
