About the F31X125SNHADG2
F31X125SNHADG2--Snubber board
The F31X125SNHADG2 is a very small board component manufactured by General Electric for use within several of their general purpose drive systems. This includes the DC-300 and the AC-300 drives. While these drives may now be considered obsolete, they were designed originally as powerful, dynamic systems with the flexibility to find use in a wide variety of industrial settings.
The F31X125SNHADG2 is a small Snubber board. Snubbers are used to suppress voltage transients, or "kick." The board provides a short-term alternative current path in order to prevent arcing across contacts of switches and relays.
The F31X125SNHADG2 is designed with a single large capacitor with axial leads. It is secondarily connected to the board and supported by a zip tie that connects through two drill holes in the board’s surface. There are three diodes on the board’s surface, two on the right and one on the left. The board has a single resistor marked 4.7 Ω 5% placed next to a disc capacitor. There is a small slit cut in from the board edge between the two legs of the disc capacitor. The board also has a stab-on connector (P1) and two through-hole connectors placed near the center of the board. These are ringed with a conductive material and are marked N2 and CT.
The F31X125SNHADG2 is marked with codes like 003/0 and FR01/0. It is not marked with any kind of secondary board number, although it may have one. If more information is desired, please refer to publications originally provided by General Electric, such as drive manuals or series user guides.
