About the F31X175SSBADG1
F31X175SSBADG1--Dual Channel BIU Series Six Interface
The F31X175SSBADG1 is a board component manufactured by GE to fit into several of their general purpose drive systems like the AC-300 or the DC-300. These drives are now typically considered obsolete. However, they were considered flexible, dynamic systems with the ability to be used for a variety of industrial applications. The F31X175SSBADG1 is marked with codes like 004/0, 005/0, VA-4, 2787, and FR00/0. It also carries an alternate board number of 531X175SSBADG1.
The F31X175SSBADG1 functions as a Dual Channel BIU Series Six Interface. The board has a right-angled multi-pin connector along the bottom edge and 36 conductive copper pads extending from the top edge. The top edge also has a toggle switch and two right-angled LED indicators that a placed off the edge of the board. The LED indicators are both red. The edges of the board are shaped into tabs. One of these is labeled “Solder direction” with an arrow. Corners are factory drilled.
The body of the F31X175SSBADG1 is populated by two switch components with a single toggle per switch. There are 18 jumper switches on the board surface, as well as a transistor, three resistor network arrays, multiple resistors, capacitors, and diodes, along with over fifty integrated circuits. ICs are marked with their manufacturer logo and with their part number for easy identification. ICs include oscillating chips and bus drivers. More information on board operation, installation instructions, and handling procedures can be found in GE publications like user guides, manuals, and data sheets.
